Description :
The transition toward a climate-neutral and circular economy presents science and
industry with complex and interrelated challenges. Sustainable materials must not
only deliver high performance and economic value; they must also enable the use of
alternative feedstocks, reduce emissions, and support the efficient recovery of
materials within future value cycles. Against this background, our activities focus on
reducing the carbon footprint of our products and advancing circular solutions. These
include products that help close the loop by using renewable or recycled feedstocks
and enabling recyclability and/or biodegradability at end of life.
The presentation will provide an insight into BASF's research landscape and
innovation approaches, illustrated by selected examples with a particular focus on
circularity.
The seminar will be followed by a 20-minute exchange with early-
career ICS members about carreer paths in industry.
